MUSCAT: The Higher Education Admission Centre (HEAC) today opens the door for modifications to applications from students registered in the system who made an incorrect choice in their initial application. This service will be available until next Thursday.
It does not matter whether or not the student obtained a seat in the first sorting, provided that the student has not completed the registration procedures for external missions or received a travel package. To avail themselves of the service, students should have obtained a competitive rate higher than or equal to the last accepted student, on the condition that a vacancy is available.
Students who were accepted for a programme will be required to withdraw from the seat they obtained in the first sorting and must commit to completing the registration procedures on the dates specified later.
The HEAC explained that students can access the service by logging onto the HEAC website, selecting the 'Assisting Admission Services,' and submitting an application to correct their choice.
Upon entering the page, the system will display the programmes available to apply for in accordance with the service controls.
