GCC meetings focuses on food security strategy

DOHA: Represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MoAFWR), the Sultanate of Oman on Thursday took part in the 36th meeting of members of the GCC Agricultural Cooperation and Food Security Committee, which convened in Doha, Qatar.

Oman's delegation at the meeting was headed by Dr Ahmed bin Nasser al Bakri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Agriculture.

The meeting discussed the GCC Food Security Strategy, the Law on Organic Inputs and Products, the executive regulations of the fertilisers and agricultural soil improvers system and the executive regulations of the Law on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. — ONA
