The Al Jabal Al Akhdhar Football League is underway with matches and the competitions are heating up as the league entered crucial rounds. As many as 12 teams from various villages in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdhar are taking part in the league. This league is part of the summer activities organised in Al Jabal Al Akhdhar overseen by the Office of the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah and a committee formed from various sports teams to organise this event. The league has gained significant attention and is closely followed by many residents of the wilayat.
The matches are held at the ground of Al Irtibat Sports, Social and Cultural Team in the village of Al Qasha with an experienced and certified refereeing team specialising in 8-a-side football.
In the opening round, Al Fara team defeated Al Shabab by 3-1. Al Irtibat and Shattout teams ended their match in a 2-2 draw. Salout won against Al Rous 2-0, while Al Nujoom and Al Ittihad also played out 2-2 draw. Al Ahli had a decisive victory over Al Shabab with a score of 6-0 and Al Tadhamun defeated Al Fara 2-0. The league will continue until the end of next month.
