The General Directorate of Culture, Sports, and Youth in North Al Batinah has launched an exciting summer programme called "Summer Creativity," aimed at nurturing the talents and skills of children aged 9 to 15.
Running for a full month, the programme offers a diverse set of educational and awareness workshops designed to enhance participants' abilities and experiences.
"Summer Creativity" features eight distinctive workshops focused on essential future skills such as financial investment, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Additionally, participants can explore creative fields like resin and terrazzo art, the "Impossible Missions Lab," thermal clay, and public speaking. The programme's comprehensive approach aims to invest participants' time in activities that cultivate their cultural and artistic talents, foster effective communication, and teach them to use their time wisely.
Nada bint Nasser al Shibani, Director of the Department of Culture at the General Directorate of Culture, Sports, and Youth in North Al Batinah, emphasised the programme's objective saying, "Through these eight specialised workshops, we are trying to provide high-quality content that meets the needs of our targeted children and youth. We have selected talented trainers to deliver interactive activities that inspire creativity and encourage students to develop their future skills."
"We believe in the importance of creating opportunities for children and youth to invest their time effectively to prepare for future careers," she added.
Participants expressed their enthusiasm for the programme. Alhanoof, a 12-year-old attendee, said: "I'm thrilled to be learning about financial investment and entrepreneurship. These are skills I never thought I would be able to explore at my age, and it's exciting to think about how I can use them in the future."
Another participant, Alhussain, aged 14, said: "The entrepreneurship workshop has been remarkable. It has given me new ideas about starting my own business someday." "Summer Creativity" is setting a new standard for summer programmes by integrating future-focused skills with creative and cultural activities. This initiative not only enhances the participants' talents but also prepares them for a rapidly changing world, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed.
