13 new schools come up in governorates

Muscat: Thirteen new schools were handed over to the Ministry of Education in the governorates of Musandam, Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Muscat, South Al Sharqiyah and Dhofar.


The total cost of the new schools stands at RO 26.8 million and they will be opened for the academic year 2024-2025.

Khamis bin Mubarak al Hadidi, Director-General of Projects and Services at the Ministry of Education, said that the construction of the new schools reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing education and community development in the governorates and providing an optimal educational environment for the students.

The construction of these schools will provide more educational opportunities as well as enhance the educational infrastructure in the governorates in line with the Oman Vision 2040 goals to achieve sustainable development and enhance the quality of education, the official said.
