ROP warns of fake government websites

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has warned citizens and residents of dealing with fake websites that are identical to official government portals.


Fraudsters use such portals to obtain their banking data to get money from accounts.


ROP urged everyone to verify the authenticity and reliability of websites and not to share any personal or banking information.


for example, www.mmn.m.om is an official website while www.mmm.com.


Counterfeiting is done by adding a letter or symbol
