Ahd Foundation provides fund for new health centre

Muscat: Funded by the Ahd Foundation, the Governor of South Al Batinah Eng. Masoud bin Said Al Hashmi marked the inaugural ceremony of Balad Sayt Health Centre, in the Wilayat of al Rustaq.


Yousef bin Mohammed al Farsi, Director General of Health Services in South Al Batinah Governorate expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude for the noble gesture of Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman.


In his speech, al Farsi underscored the importance of joining hands between the government and other sectors in the Sultanate of Oman to serve public interests and finance such important vital projects.


People of Balad Sayt and neighboring villages heralded the opening of the health center, which saves effort and time and accelerates providing health services.


The patron of the ceremony unveiled the commemorative plaque, announcing the official opening of the Balad Sayt Health Center. The officials were toured through the center’s departments and clinics and briefed about the health services provided at the center.


The health center will provide a number of services in general medicine, the expanded program on immunization, maternal and child care, treatment of chronic diseases, community health, and school health.


On the sideline of the event, Saif bin Nasser al Kalbani, Director General of the Ahd Foundation, said the Foundation is keen to foster partnerships with government institutions and civil sectors, in a way that serves aspects of development in the country


In a statement, Dr Said bin Harib al Lamki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, pointed out, “The Ministry is currently implementing a number of projects that meet the needs of citizens in the health sector, by establishing new health institutions and raising the efficiency of some existing health institutions to keep pace with the growing population.”
