MUSCAT: The National Center for Statistics and Information in Oman released data indicating the extent of the Sultanate of Oman 's oil exports and production by the end of February 2024. The total quantity of oil exports reached approximately 52.43 million barrels, with each barrel priced at an average of $80.2. These exports constituted 87.2% of the total oil production, which amounted to 60.07 million barrels.


A comparison between February 2024 and February 2023 revealed a 5.5% increase in oil exports and a 4.3% decrease in production. Crude oil production saw a significant decline of 6.8%, reaching 46.03 million barrels, while oil condensates experienced a growth of 5.2% to 14.05 million barrels. The average daily oil production was reported to be 1.01 million barrels by the end of February 2024.


Among the importing countries, China stood out as the largest importer of Omani oil, receiving a total of 51.43 million barrels, marking a notable 15.6% increase from February 2023. Following closely behind was Japan, importing 1.6 million barrels, representing a decline of 21.1%. — ONA
