Buoyed by robust economic ties, the vibrant non-oil trade between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Kuwait soared past RO 699 million by the end of October 2023, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Omani exports to Kuwait during this period amounted to a significant RO 141 million, showcasing the strength and diversity of Oman’s non-oil sector. Live animals, chemical products, and electrical machinery and equipment topped the list of goods heading north across the Arabian Sea.
Meanwhile, Omani imports from Kuwait reached RO 515 million. Metal products, chemical products, and optical tools and devices were among the key Kuwaiti exports finding their way into Omani markets.
These impressive figures underscore the strategic partnership between Oman and Kuwait, built on a foundation of shared economic interests and a commitment to diversifying their respective economies. Both nations are actively pursuing further collaboration across various sectors, aiming to unlock even greater potential in their bilateral trade ties.
