Muscat: The Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR) held a media meeting to highlight the achievements of 2023 and the performance of companies operating in the electricity, water, sanitation, gas, and waste transportation sectors.

During its press briefing, APSR said it has rolled out a new initiative by which subscribers could get direct compensation from electricity firms if they fail to abide by quality standards.

The authority said, “The operator will compensate clients by deducting the due amount from the electricity invoice. Such initiative will help improve the quality of services and safeguard the subscribers' rights."
