UTAS Al Musannah releases first book on sustainable growth

MUSCAT: The inauguration ceremony of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) first book titled ‘Strategies for Business Transformation- Accelerators for Sustainable Growth’ was held last week.


The event was held under the auspices of Dr Said bin Hamad al Rubaie, Vice-Chancellor, University of Technology and Applied Sciences, in the presence of Dr Ahmed bin Ali al Shahri, Assistant Vice-Chancellor at the university branch in Salalah, Dr Nasser bin Salim al Bimani, Assistant Vice-Chancellor, university branch in Al Musannah, deputies, authors,and academics.


Dr Nasser bin Salim al Bimani, in his speech, hailed the distinguished role played by the university and its affiliates in the field of scientific research, among other areas.


Dr Aziza bint Abdullah al Qamshouai, Head of the Business Studies Department, at the university branch in Al Musannah, presented a visual overview of the university’s first book and the most important upcoming research projects. The book aims to support the prominent priority of Oman Vision 2040, which focuses on a sustainable national economy and establishing effective, balanced and strong systems.


“In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, the need for institutions to adapt and transform is more important than ever. This transformation should ensure a balance between economic, environmental and social requirements according to the principles of sustainable development outlined in ‘Oman Vision 2040,’” he said.


One of the notable features of this edition is its issuance with the international standard number registered under the name of UTAS, making it the first registered edition as intellectual property under the name of the university. The university owns all copyrights and the edition includes digital identifiers for the book to ensure easy access for interested parties and proper documentation for easier impact assessment.
