Muscat: The Meteorological Department of Oman has issued an alert for Thursday, citing reduced horizontal visibility across several northern governorates. North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, and Al Dhahirah have been particularly affected by dust clouds stirred up by brisk northwesterly winds.

Furthermore, meteorological stations have observed significant northwest wind activity across the desert and more open regions of Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North Al Batinah Al Wusta, Dhofar, Al Dakhiliyah, and Musandam. Wind speeds have reached up to 19 knots at Qarn Alam, with Al Zamaim experiencing winds of 17 knots, and Fahud and Mukhaizna recording 16 knots.

Travelers in these areas are advised to exercise caution due to potential transportation disruptions and visibility concerns.
