MUSCAT: The Social Protection Fund (SPF) opened a multi-purpose investment building in Gala in the Wilayat of Bushar, on Monday.
Nasser bin Khamis al Jashmi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance and Chairman of the SPF, presided over the inaugural ceremony. He and a number of officials took a tour around the building and viewed the facilities and services it provides. The building occupies a total space of 146,667 sq metres.
The 5-storey building comprises a hotel that will be managed by the international company Accor under the well-known brand Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts. It has 282 hotel rooms and suites, 58 luxury hotel apartments, international restaurants as well as spaces and halls for meetings, conferences and events and a gym.
The investment project will provide spaces for stores and international brands on an estimated area of 3,897 sq metres offering an opportunity for shopping lovers to get a wide variety of options under one roof. The ground floor comprises a large façade of restaurants and cafes with options that meet the desires of visitors to spend fun family times.
The project will be a destination for business owners and includes commercial offices suitable for those looking for an ideal place to manage their businesses in addition to 144 residential apartments.
The project is distinguished by a prime location near the Sultan Qaboos Road and Muscat Expressway. It’s also close to Muscat International Airport and the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. It has three-level parking with a capacity of 1,170 parking spaces.
