Muscat: There are low clouds and fog formation over parts of the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, North al Sharqiyah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar, parts of Musandam and near the coast of the Sea of Oman (North al Batinah and Muscat)

The latest images also indicate the presence of rain clouds over the wilayats of Al Musannah, Barka, and Wadi Al Maawil in the South Al Bainah Governorate. Rainy clouds are expected to pour into Muscat Governorate bringing chances of scattered rains.

Many wilayats in the northern governorates received rain on Sunday as part of the air trough that is expected to have an impact on Oman starting from Sunday till Thursday.

The trough due to the low-pressure system that has been developed in the southern part of Iran has been having its impact on the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates, said the weather forecaster at Oman Met Office.

“Some of the wilayats like Saham, Suhar, and Liwa experienced hailstorms. We are expecting clouds and isolated rain over the wilayats of Al Suwaiq, Samayil, Al Musannah, and some parts of Muscat,” said the weather forecaster.
