Heavy rains associated with active wind were reported in some wilayats of the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, Al Batinah South and Al Sharqiyah North on Wednesday.
Al Batinah South Governorate saw heavy rains in the villages of Wadi Bani Kharous in the Wilayat of Al Awabi.
As a result of heavy downpour, Wadi Al Ad in Al Jabal Al Akhdhar overflew blocking some roads and causing traffic jams.
Heavy rain also fell in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdhar due to the formation of local cumulonimbus clouds. The Wilayat of Samayil witnessed heavy thundershowers that caused overflowing of wadis.
The Met Office warned the travellers to and from Dhofar via Adam-Thamrait road to be cautious as cumulonimbus clouds activities continued to bring heavy rain, active wind and dust with high possibility of low visibility. - ONA
