Woman held for fraud in Muscat

Muscat: The police command in Muscat Governorate arrested a female citizen on fraud charges. The defendant conducted several purchase transactions from a jewelry store using forged invoices. The police seized jewels and cash amounts from the defendant, Royal Oman Police (ROP) said on X adding that legal procedures against the defendant are underway.


In South Al Batinah Governorate, the police arrested three Asian people in connection with stealing a donation box from the Wilayat of Barka.


The Directorate-General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation in cooperation with the Police Command in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, arrested Arab residents on charges of money exchange fraud. Legal action on the case is currently underway.


The police command in North Al Batinah Governorate arrested 10 people of Asian nationalities after a video circulated on social media of them being involved in a mass altercation at a neighbourhood in the Wilayat of Suhar causing public inconvenience. Legal procedures against the defendants are underway.
