The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources carried out survey operations for detecting desert locusts in the governorates of Al Wusta and South Al Sharqiyah. The results of the survey indicated that the environmental conditions in the wilayats of Haima, Mahout and Al Duqm in Al Wusta Governorate do not represent a conducive environment for locust breeding due to moisture and dry vegetation.
