Dhofar Governorate hosted a youth forum recently under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar. The forum was organised by the Youth Centre in collaboration with various governmental and private entities.
The forum aimed to enable the participants to forge genuine partnerships and open up avenues for further empowerment. On the occasion, a number of developmental projects and initiatives were unveiled, with the presenters appealing the youth to participate in these schemes.
A tapestry of vibrant young individuals from every corner of Dhofar converged at the forum, ardently participating in an array of workshops and fervent discussions. Themes of partnership, empowerment, development, and youthful participation illuminated the conversations, resonating with the aspirations of the attendees.
In opening remarks, HH Sayyid Marwan said: "Today, I am delighted to convene with all of you to deliberate upon the imminent youth dialogue. My gratitude extends to the Youth Centre for orchestrating this rendezvous and consistently championing youth engagement."
He continued, "It is widely recognised that the participation of young minds is the bedrock upon which a brighter future is erected. By infusing novel ideas and perspectives into decision-making, our youth can foster policies and programmes that seamlessly cater to their communities' needs."
The Governor described the forum as an invaluable platform for Oman’s youth to voice their aspirations and be resoundingly heard. “It's not just about dialogues; it's about fostering collaborations, deepening our mutual learning, and collectively enriching our shared journey. I firmly believe that this dialogue will serve as an enriching chapter for all participants involved," he remarked.
