18 horses qualified at the conclusion of the endurance competition, organised by Oman Equestrian Federation, at Khor Al Dahariz beach in Salalah.
The qualified race included one stage for a distance of 40 km, in the presence of Ahmed bin Saif al Abri, Secretary-General of the Federation.
The race started at four o'clock in the afternoon, after the completion of the veterinary examination. where 18 horses were passed successful and 4 horses were excluded from the race for not passing the veterinary examination.
Ahmed bin Saif al Abri, Secretary-General of the Oman Equestrian Federation, said “The qualifying race is held in cooperation with the Dhofar Equestrian Committee, where great efforts have been made by the Oman Equestrian Federation to prepare the tracks for the qualifying race, and there is a great awakening of citizens who own horses, trainers and riders to deal with horses to pass This race”.
Al Abri explained, “22 horses participated in the race, and this number is considered good, and we hope the number of participants will increase in the coming days, with real and clear knowledge of the all competitions vision which organised by the Oman Equestrian Federation in cooperation with the Dhofar Equestrian Committee, and all thanks to the technical and administrative staff that contributed to the success of this race”.
