Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said that its Directorate General of Criminal Investigation has detected a new fraud method being circulated through social media.

According to ROP, the fraudsters use false commercial advertisements of a company that offers domestic workers attractive prices.

Customers are requested to enter the company’s website for requesting a service by making an online payment.

Bank data details provided by the clients are used for fraud by the seamsters.

ROP urged all citizens and residents not to share any personal or banking data through unreliable websites.
