The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) is hosting a symposium on investment opportunities linked to the National Initiative for Integrated Residential Neighborhoods (Sorouh) on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. The event will take place at 9am in the Al-Nu'man Palace Hall located in the Wilayat of Barka.

Held under the auspices of Shaikh Saif bin Hamyar al Malik al-Shehhi, Governor of South Al Batinah, the symposium aims to provide insights to private sector real estate developers interested in the initiative and its potential for investment.

Sorouh, a government-led initiative, focuses on the construction of fully serviced residential neighborhoods with modern specifications. The symposium will specifically highlight three key sectors: real estate development, construction, and engineering consultancy.

Distinguished speakers will be present at the symposium, including: Wisama bin Nasser al Huraibi, Director of the Integrated Residential Neighborhoods Department at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, who will shed light on integrated residential neighborhoods (Sorouh); and Ali bin Muhammad al Lawati, Chairman of the Real Estate Development Committee at the OCCI, who will share the private sector's vision for the national initiative of integrated residential neighborhoods.

The symposium is free of charge and open to all interested parties. Online registration is required, and interested individuals can register through the OCCI website.

This symposium is part of the OCCI's ongoing efforts to promote investment opportunities in Oman and support the government's initiatives aimed at providing affordable housing for its citizens.
