The Association for Children with Disabilities inaugurated the Ninth Charity Exhibition, which will continue until June 3, 2023, at the Fraser Suites, Muscat, to support 400 children with disabilities.

Dr Muna bint Salim al Jardani, Under-Secretary of the Vocational Training at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, who patronised the event, indicated that the exhibition came in solidarity with children with disabilities, and in support of them and small and medium enterprises.

The association has been actively promoting – among various segments of society, private sector entities, and institutions – human values and a culture of ‘donating and providing voluntary support to children’.

The association serves nearly 400 children distributed in its rehabilitation centres in Athaiba, Seeb, Barka, Musannah, Saham, Yanqul, Dhank, and Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan.

Khadija bint Nasser al Saati, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Children with Disabilities Association, said that this exhibition comes to serve and support the Association for Children with Disabilities, and to diversify the sources of financial income for the association, which contributes to improving the level of programmes, rehabilitation, training and treatment services for children affiliated with its rehabilitation centres.

She indicated that the number of participants in the exhibition amounted to more than 150. These exhibitions represent a station for a large number of Omani projects, and play a positive role in providing an opportunity for all members of society to participate and support the efforts of Omani entrepreneurs, introduce their products, and support the programmes of the association.

"The exhibition includes a variety of products in clothing, accessories, perfumes, incense and other Eid al Adha necessities," Khadija said, adding that children with disabilities have the right to be taken care of, to show their abilities and talents to access services that enhance their integration in the society.
