Making a living is not an easy thing in life; it is a very irritating headache. One has to strive hard, sacrifice time, money as well as personal and social life for the sake of getting a proper job. Maintaining a decent living for oneself and family is a very challenging mission indeed. However, as the saying goes, ‘No pain, no gain’; the harder people strive, the bigger the reward comes.

In fact, having a profession marks one of the major blessings that one has got. Without a job, life would be a struggle and a burden to some people! Sometimes, it is one’s fate and luck that play a role in the way you live your life, yet it is also your hard work that you do to get things done. Thus, it is your call to chase every possible opportunity, which might bring you a good fortune and make a living out of it. All you need to do is to make the most of every opportunity that emerges.

Though, it is not always one has the choice on what he/she has in life or does for a living, rather this is only granted by the Almighty Allah, who bestow human beings with their different fortunes and fates. This is given to them with no distinction to certain origins, religions, languages or cultures. In fact, it is just a matter of giving humans what is good to serve them better during their lifetime. Blessings are fairly given to people, but sometimes it is just their own interest to get more and more. However, everything comes at the right time; one just needs to be patient.

In this regard, human beings are blessed with different types and ranks of jobs, but this doesn't mean that the ones with highly paid or positioned jobs should undervalue those with low wages or low-profile professions like the blue-collar jobs. The Almighty Allah says in the Holy Quran: "We raise some of them above others in ranks, so that some may command work from others." Whatever one does, he/she shall work on it with all heart as working is for the Lord, not for men. As stated in the Holy Quran, “And say, do as you will, for Allah will see your deeds, and so will His Messenger and the believers."

Likewise, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was asked what type of earning was best, and he replied, "A man’s work with his hands and every lawful business transaction." Hence, nobody has the right to underestimate others no matter who they are or what they do! All humans are valuable, but each is managing stuff with own limits, capabilities and concerns. However, all are complementing each other with what they do in life. Accordingly, the ones working on handicrafts or less-privileged professions are even more honoured and should be highly appreciated than others.

This leads to the fact that employees are equal and shall be fairly treated, regardless of their designations or professions. They all deserve the same level of respect, appreciation and consideration. To them, this marks an essential part for self-motivation and encouragement, so they could feel a person of value. One would always need to be admired and motivated to keep up hard work, good spirit and positive attitude.

Having a satisfied employee would definitely reflect on the overall performance and production. Eventually, it ensures getting outstanding outcomes. That is way the world is observing various occasions for labours and others of specific professions too. This signifies the importance of the different professions and efforts of diverse professionals. The Labour Day stands among the key occasions that shall be celebrated to acknowledge the excellence of employees and reward their commendable performance and deliverables. To all bosses, salute the hard work and dedication of the strong-willed souls around you!
