Water Sustainability System worth RO 24m launched in Musandam

Khasab: Nama Water Services on Wednesday launched a water sustainability system in the Governorate of Musandam to the tune of more than RO 24 million.


The launch ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Ibrahim Said al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam.


The new system will provide 70 seaside villages with fresh water to be transported onboard ships (at a cost of RO 6.6 million), the opening of a desalination plant in the Wilayat of Khasab and the construction of desalination units in Musandam Governorate at a cost of more than RO 17 million.


The overall production capacity of the desalination units in the Governorate of Musandam stands at more than 18,000 cubic metres per day.
