Housing ministry signs 25 usufruct agreements worth more than RO 2 million

Muscat: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MoHUP), on Thursday signed 25 usufruct agreements with a total investment value of more than RO2 million in a number of governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.


The contracts involve three industrial projects in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, 15 residential and commercial projects in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, three industrial and commercial projects in Muscat Governorate, two commercial and industrial projects in Dhofar Governorate, a commercial project in Al Wusta Governorate, and a commercial residential project in Al Dhahira Governorate.


Eng Hamad bin Ali Al-Nazwani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, signed the agreements with representatives of the investment projects.


These projects will involve the construction of a plastic bags factory, a commercial store, a school, warehouses, an ice factory, offices, and workers’ accommodation. The rest of the projects are auctions for industrial and residential commercial use.
