

MUSCAT: Oman Real Estate Conference and Oman Design and Build Week will open on Monday under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.
The three-day conference is organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, in cooperation with Oman Real Estate Association at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
More than 32 speakers and 30 government and private institutions are participating in the real estate development conference, which includes 11 dialogue sessions, targeting real estate developers, brokers, financial and legal service providers, and those interested in real estate development.
The conference aims to focus on investment opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman, enhance complementary communication between sectors, enable partnership with partners in the real estate sector, and exchange views and experiences to develop the real estate sector.
The conference will be accompanied by Oman Design and Build Week, aimed at enhancing communication with industry owners and manufacturers, integration with suppliers and distributors, displaying building materials and solutions to architects, consultants, contractors, distributors, purchasing managers and decision-makers, accelerating business growth and announcing many mega projects in line with the economic growth plans in the real estate sector in Oman.
The conference and the week highlight the role of real estate and construction sectors in developing commercial businesses, and bring an optimal platform for corporates to display offers and solutions for the promising market.
Oman Real Estate Conference 2023 will review the projects of the Integrated Residential Quarters Initiative (Surooh) and the National Plan for Developing Real Estate Sector which enables the sector to contribute to the GDP, boost national economy and investment opportunities by understanding the current status of the real estate sector, and proposing solutions for the challenges facing the sector.
Oman Real Estate Conference is an annual event, and this year it will focus on the housing sector. The real estate sector development plan in the Sultanate of Oman will also be reviewed during the conference. The conference will touch on the Tatweer platform concerned with providing comprehensive services to real estate developers and discuss the new sites for the Surooh integrated residential quarter, in addition to the management of Owners Associations and the real estate development law.
The conference will bring together 200 local and international firms operating in the real estate and construction sectors as international developers showed a desire to invest the Sultanate of Oman in partnerships with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning with 50 investors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkiye and India are expected to sign partnership agreements at the event.
