Nizwa: The Directorate-General of Education in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate represented the Sultanate of Oman in the Gulf Arts Festival in Kuwait. A team from different schools took part in the play 'Kingdom of Colours' at the event, which started on February 14.

The participation was part of the Gulf Arts Festival for public education students in Kuwait. Arab Bureau of Education organised the event for the Gulf States (ABEGS) from February 14 to 19.

Written by Sultan Ahmed, the play 'Kingdom of Colours' was directed by Marhoon bin Ali al Shraiqi. The play revolves around the permanent and eternal conflicts raised through the primary colours.

"It is the brush which diminishes the struggle of the colours and tries to impose reconciliation and convince the colours that they have no value without cooperation, sharing and integration," said one of the art lovers who attended the event.

Seven student actors from Al Dakhiliyah Governorate schools participated in the play. The participants included, Al Muneer bin Samir al Hinai and Mutasim bin Salim al Hinai from Musaab bin Omair School for Basic Education; Moath bin Saud al Jadidi from Belarab bin Sultan School for Basic Education; Ali bin Said al Shaqsi from Bahla School for Basic Education; and Amal bint Abdullah al Tamimi, Jumana bint Hamad al Abri, and Mesk bint Uday al Khanbashi from Mamoura School for Basic Education.
