Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Social Development, will take part in the 6th Gulf Theatre Festival for People with Disabilities, scheduled to be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from December 3-9, 2022.

Oman will stage a drama titled “Rihla” or “voyage” at the festival, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPO), which falls on December 3.

The festival whose performances will be held at Princess Nourah University’s theatre seeks to augment the proportion of disabled people’s participation in cultural activities and support their talents. It also aims to raise public awareness about the potential of people with disabilities, besides increasing their incorporation in society and their cultural integration within GCC states.
