Three expats booked in drug case

MUSCAT: The Directorate-General for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, arrested three expats of Asian and African nationalities on charges of smuggling and possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking.


The anti-drug police said that one of the arrestees is linked to an international drug ring operated from abroad.


The police seized 39 kg of crystal meth, 1 kg of morphine, 4 kg of hashish and a large quantity of psychotropic tablets from the defendants as well as tools utilized in the selling of drugs.


Meanwhile, the police command of North Al Batinah Governorate, arrested three persons for stealing air conditioners from a mosque.
