Muscat: The Ministry of Labor is studying the feasibility of converting the weekends holidays to three instead of just two days as this system has been implemented in more than one country around the world, a statement quoting a top official was reported by Oman, the sister publication of the Observer.

The Ministry said it is flexible when it comes to the nature of work as there are ministries that apply remote work and part-time work.

The Public Service Law is still with the ministry and has to be passed by the Majlis A'Shura and the State Councils before being approved.
