Nizwa: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) held a ceremony at Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences (SQAPS) in the Wilayat of Nizwa on Thursday to mark ROP Annual Day, which falls on January 5 every year.
The celebration was presided over by HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.
On this occasion, a graduation ceremony was held at the military parade grounds of the SQAPS. The ceremony saw the passing out of officer cadets who obtained a diploma in law and police sciences, university officer cadets, specialised officer cadets and service officer cadets.
The batch included officers from the Royal Court Affairs (RCA), the Internal Security Service (ISS), the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) and delegates from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The celebration protocols began with a salutation to the chief guest. The commandant of the graduates’ column stepped forward, requesting HH Sayyid Theyazin to inspect the front row of the parade.
