Scientific Conference of Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences kicks off

Nizwa: The scientific conference of the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences kicked off here on Monday under the theme “50 years: accomplishments and aspirations”.


The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Rahma Ibrahim al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. Present during the event was Lt Gen Hassan Mohsin al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs.


The conference aims to review the march of development of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) in various fields. It also highlights the latest technologies and training techniques used in preparing police personnel.


On the sidelines of the conference a cooperation programme was signed between ROP, represented by the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.


The cooperation programme aims to provide the Oman Research Repository “Shuaa” with scientific papers that are published in the “Al Amana” journal, as well as many books, reports, audio and visual materials.
