Pinsters emerge champions in ISC bowling tournament

MUSCAT: Pinsters of ISC Gujarati Wing clinched the title in the Indian Social Club Oman bowling tournament. ISC Goan Wing secured second position.


After the gap of two years due to the pandemic, Indian Social Club Oman organised the bowling tournament with 16 teams from linguistic wings of ISC with more than 90 players in action.


Teams consisted of six players with two female players mandatory in each team.


The tournament took place at Al Noor Bowling Centre Al Khuwair on November 25.


The winning team members of Team Pinsters were Yash Asher, Sasha Saldanha, Kuldeep Asher, Siddharth Vaz, Divya Toprani and Miten Toprani. The runners-up team members of Team Goan were Allwyn Noronha, Jerome Vaz, Tony Fernandes, Cletus Mathias, Maria Mathias and Dhelria Fernandes.


The winner’s trophies and cash prize were handed over by ISC Vice-Chairman Karanjeet Singh Matharoo and runners up trophies and cash prize were handed over by ISC Sports Secretary Saji Abraham.


The highlight of the event were best player male and female. Sasha, lady player of Gujarati Wing, scored 159 and received best player award from Suhail Khan, ISC Entertainment Secretary, and best male player was Faizi of Urdu Wing with score of 161 and received trophy from Sanjit Kanojia, ISC Joint Sports Secretary.


The best players gift vouchers were sponsored by Taste of India Restaurant.


"It was amazing to see full family taking part in the tournament with youngsters, male, female, children and aged people all actively taking part in the event. The best part was everyone enjoying the event as it was full of entertainment," Sanjit Kanojia said.
