Met predicts rains over parts of Oman

Muscat: Oman's Met Office on Sunday said the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah and South Al Batinah would be affected by thunderstorms of varying intensity on Monday and Tuesday.


"The Sultanate’s atmosphere will be affected by a depression on Monday and Tuesday, as it is expected that the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah and South Al Batinah will be affected by thunderstorms of varying intensity (accompanied by active downward winds at times) and chances of cumulus clouds forming on the Hajar Mountains and sporadic thunderstorms", a statement from the agency said.


Met said clouds formation has been observed over parts of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah.
