

London: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is taking part in the World Travel Market 2022 held in London, the United Kingdom (UK), from November 7-9, 2022.
Oman’s delegation is headed by Azzan Qasim al Busaidi, Tourism Undersecretary.
The Ministry’s participation aims to highlight and promote Oman’s tourism potentials and capabilities in an event that brings together tourists from all over the world to discuss developments in the sector and to strike partnerships.
As many as 26 tourism and hotel establishments are participating through Oman’s corner in the event to promote tourism in Oman. The World Travel Market is participated by 3,000 private and public establishments from 160 countries.
The event includes 75 conferences and discussion panels to discuss developments in the travel and tourism sector all over the world.
Participating in the World Travel Market also aims to support the recovery of the tourism sector in Oman, which proved its ability and flexibility in dealing with different variables and international challenges. The tourism sector in Oman is witnessing a noticeable growth in the number of visitors, hotel revenues and occupancy rates, as well as an increase in newly created job opportunities in the sector.
