Frankfurt: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, and the Ministry of Information, is participating in the 74th edition of Frankfurt International Book Fair 2022 in Germany. The fair kicked off on Wednesday and will continue until October 23, 2022.

Oman has always been keen to take part in the fair, as it is one of the largest annual cultural extravaganzas at the European and global level.

Oman’s participation at the fair aims to highlight the intellectual, civilizational and cultural production in the country.

In view of the significance of this fair at the global level, diverse lists of various Omani publications have been prepared in "German, Arabic, French and English" languages featuring historical, literary, scientific, media and tourism fields.

A collection of publications also shed light on social aspects, wildlife and the environment. Other publications also spotlight historical sites and adventure tourism in Oman. These publications display the diversity and richness of Omani life features.

The Omani pavilion displays videos showcasing major development and civilized achievements. It also highlights tourism and unique environmental components of Oman.

The Omani pavilion at the fair annually witnesses a large turnout of visitors of all age categories of intellectuals, professionals and students.

More than 4,000 publishing houses representing 65 countries from around the world are taking part in the fair. The Kingdom of Spain is the guest of honour at the event this year.
