Salalah: The 12th edition of the Salalah Book Fair kicked off on Monday at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment.
The event, which will be ongoing till August 2, 2022, is organized by the Directorate General for Culture, Sports and Youth in the Governorate of Dhofar.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar.
The book fair comes within the framework of Dhofar Cultural and Sports Festival 2022. The event sees the participation of 54 publishers and bookstores from Oman and other countries.
The book fair also includes several lectures, intellectual seminars and book reads, as well as poetry, art and culture sessions.
