Leading oil and gas companies operating in the Sultanate of Oman undertook as many as 121 social investment projec ts in various parts of the country during 2021, the Ministry of Energy and Minerals sated in a post on Wednesday.
Notable players include OQ, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), CCED, bp, Oxy and Daleel Petroleum LLC.
Social investment projects implemented by energy companies include training centres and workshops for the physically challenged.
Small-scale desalination plant, reception and administration facilities, supports for SMEs, labs for higher learning institutions, healthcare support services, and a major public park in Muscat
Oman’s energy sector is one of the largest providers of corporate social funding support in the country. Local energy firms and their partners have played an important role in this regard.
