Salalah gets first batch of tourists via charter flights

Salalah - Dhofar Governorate received the first batch of European tourists with direct flights from Czech and Slovakia as part of the strategy of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) to promote the governorate as a year-round tourist destination.


Marwan bin Abdul Hakim Al Ghassani, Director of Tourism Promotion said that the ministry is working to attract more charter flights from European countries and cruise ships.


The Ministry will implement events and activities such as the frankincense season in late November and the Empty Quarter Festival.


The winter tourism season in the Governorate of Dhofar is important for owners of hotels, camps, and other businesses.
