Royal Guard Of Oman lifts the Sultan's AFF league title

The Sultan's Armed Forces Football League, currently in its 25th edition, concluded under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar in the presence of officials and fans of the qualified teams of final at the Salalah Complex Sport on Wednesday.


The Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) team lifted the title of the Sultan’s Armed Forces Football League after beating Royal Air Force Oman (RAFO) 1/0 in the final clash.


The tournament aimed to select the top players to represent the Oman national football team in the external participation, where the final match gathered the RAFO and the RGO with strong competition and high technical levels,


The match witnessed strong competition and a high technical level from both teams, which indicated the level of readiness and preparation for the championship competitions.


His Highness, who is also the sponsor of the occasion, handed over cups and prizes to the winning teams and other players and referees of the match.


Shwaqi al Raqadi from RAFO was selected as the best player in the tournament, and Mohammed al Busaidi from the same was awarded the best goalkeeper, while Said al Ruzaiqi from Royal Courts Affairs won the top scorer award.


The final match was attended by a number of leaders, senior officers, a number of civilian and military invitees, large numbers of fans, fans of the participating teams and football fans.
