Oman participates in meeting of Arab Writers Union’s Permanent Office

Damascus: Oman Society for Writers and Literati is taking part in meetings of the permanent bureau of the Arab Writers Union (AWU) which kicked off in Damascus, Syria, with the participation of delegates from various Arab states.


On the sidelines of the meeting, the Omani society signed an agreement with the AWU to enhance cooperation in cultural, intellectual and literary areas.


The two-day meeting, attended by a number of researchers and 25 poets, includes various activities, including the Arab Poetry Festival, a symposium on the Arab identity (themed “Arabism and Nationalism”) and a press conference under the auspices of the Secretary General of the AWU.
