Oman welcomes two-month renewal of Yemen truce

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed the announcement made by the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg pertaining to the renewal of truce in Yemen for another two months.


In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry here on Thursday, Oman valued the cooperation of Yemeni parties with the UN efforts.


Oman hopes that this important step would provide suitable conditions for ending the war and reaching a comprehensive and permanent settlement of the Yemeni crisis.
