MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has launched a service for electronic transfer and documentation of commercial registers via the “Invest Easy” portal.
This electronic documentation service constitutes a major step forward in streamlining government services, said Mubarak bin Mohammed al Dhohani, Head of the ministry’s Digital Transformation Team.
Al Dhohani added that this service, implemented for the first time in Oman, will pave the way for a user-friendly investment climate. It will facilitate the job of commercial companies and establishments wishing to sell their stakes or transfer the ownership of their commercial registers to other investors or enter as partners in existing commercial registers, he added.
The service was inducted via videoconferencing in the presence of Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and Dr Saleh bin Said Masan, the Ministry’s Under-Secretary for Commerce and Industry. - ONA
