TUNIS: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Omani National Commission for Education, Science and Culture (ONCESC), took part in 26th session of the general conference of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), which was held at the ALECSO’s headquarters in the Tunisian capital.
Oman’s delegation was headed by Dr Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Education Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Vice-Chairman of ONCESC.
The session debated several topics including the organisation’s programmes and activities, the draft Arab plan for education during emergencies and crises, the educational, scientific and cultural conditions in Jerusalem and occupied Palestine, and the appointment of directors in the organisation’s departments. — ONA
