MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with Royal Oman Police (ROP), has detected foreign means of land transport operating inside Omani and staying inside the country for periods longer than is permissible thereby violating the terms of the transit permit and the Land Transport Law.
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology advised companies and individuals involved in the land transport service in Oman, to get agreement with local land transporters.
The ministry affirmed that it will carry on with its inspection and campaigns on foreign means of land transport to ensure abidance by the law and regulations governing entry to Oman.
