The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), seized foreign land vehicles (trucks) for transporting goods between two points within the territory of the Sultanate of Oman.

As per the Land Transport Law based on Royal Decree 10/2016, these trucks continued to operate in the country even after the expiry of transit permits.

The ministry called on foreign companies and individual operators to contract with local land firms.

The ministry said it will continue with inspections to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Omani Land Transport Law.
