MUSCAT: As many as 72 enthusiastic young reciters from 6 eminent schools of Muscat participated in the Kindergarten Quran Recitation Competition held on Tuesday.

Organised by Al Injaz Private School, these children represented diverse backgrounds and origins but united in their efforts in learning the holy book and presented their skills in front of a packed audience.

Amira Fawzy Abdel Moneim Musa, Walid bin Hamoud al Amri and Ashraf Mohammed al Hourani were the judges appointed to ensure a fair judgment of the skills of these tiny tots.

The judges and the audience applauded the efforts of the little learners for their outstanding performance. Parents and teachers were overwhelmed to see the auditorium fill up with the sweet voices of the young reciters.

She thanked the principal, staff and parents of Omani society for the care of Holy Quran, Kindergarten Future Builders, Al Qari Al Mubdie School, Ajyal Ghala School and Afkari Private Kindergarten for their active participation in making the Holy Quran recitation event a grand success.
