Muscat: Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-Up Unit and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) signed here on Sunday a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to support and enhance national efforts to implement Oman Vision 2040.

The MoC also aims to develop the abilities and experiences of those in-charge of the implementation follow up of programmes and initiatives.

The MoC was signed by Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Chairman of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-Up Unit and Steve Phimister, managing director of PDO. The memorandum includes cooperation in areas focusing on national priorities within Oman Vision 2040, particularly the expansion of in-country value (ICV), promoting green growth opportunities and energy transformation and confronting climate change and its effects.

The MoC also supports the government’s efforts in developing the data system to serve its executive plans, and exchange of expertise in communication and media field.

Within the context of the MoC, PDO provides support to Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-Up Unit, programmes and initiatives related to the areas covered by the MoC.
