The weather forecast for the next three days indicates rain and temperature dip.


There are chances of clouds flowing and forming with isolated rain over Musandam Governorate and parts of the coasts of the Sea of Oman and parts of Al Hajar Mountains on Sunday and Monday, which may later include the coasts of the South Al Sharqiah and Al Wusta governorates on Monday evening and Tuesday morning, stated Oman Met Office of Civil Aviation Authority of the Sultanate of Oman in the weather forecast. The activity of the active northwest winds on Sunday and Monday may lead to high sea waves.


It is (medium/ stormy) at the height of 2.5 meters on the coasts of Musandam and the Sea of Oman and (quiet/ medium) at the height of 1.5 meters on the coasts of the Arabian Sea. According to the weather experts, a noticeable drop in temperatures is expected from Sunday evening until Tuesday, with chances of frost formation in mountainous areas.


Mainly clear skies over most of the governorates with chances of late night to early morning low-level clouds or fog patches over parts of Al Buraimi, Al Dahirah, and South Al Sharqiya governorates, and there are chances for medium clouds advection over parts of areas bordering Oman Sea coast.


The lowest temperature recorded in the Sultanate of Oman is 6.8 degrees in Saiq followed by 11.3 and 11.6 degrees Celsius in Yankul and Haima, with Nizwa and Muqshin recording 11.5 and 11.8 degrees respectively while Dima wa Taeen experienced the maximum temperature at 30.1 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, there is also a dust and sandstorm alert for Adam, Fahud, Bidiya, Ibri, Haima, Marmul, Thumrait, and Qarn al Alam.
