Plans unveiled to develop tourist sites in South Batinah

Muscat: A working paper on investment opportunities and projects in South al Batinah was presented on Wednesday.


Some of these projects included a strategic plan as a priority has been given for the development of the governorates and sustainable cities.


The approved projects to be implemented in the governorates in the first phase include developing tourist sites, heritage, and cultural monuments, beaches, apart from providing other basic services.


The projects include developing and rehabilitating traditional souks by establishing commercial markets, jogging tracks, taxi stations, and setting up kiosks for various activities, including street food.
